IDÉES-AFRIQUE'S DECOLONIAL MANIFESTO FOR COGNITIVE JUSTICE AND A PLURALITY OF KNOWLEDGE

Rooted in the Akan maxim "Fawodhodie ène obre na enam"—no independence without
responsibility—IDÉES-AFRIQUE is committed to a fundamental quest for cognitive justice and
the emancipation of African and Afro-descendant societies. Our manifesto lays the groundwork
for a radical transformation of the relationships of knowledge and power between the Global North and the Global South,
aiming to promote visions of the future rooted in Southern epistemologies.
